Næstved built its ground in 1944. Under the old configuration it held 20,000, and the record crowd on the books, 21,504, watched an international speedway meeting in September 1950.

Football's own high-water mark came later, in November 1980, when 20,315 packed in for a title-deciding fixture between Næstved IF and KB. The stadium of that night no longer exists in the same shape: a 2002 overhaul stripped out the athletics track that had ringed the pitch and cut capacity to 10,000, of which roughly 2,300 sit under cover. A further renovation in 2024 left the capacity figure untouched.
