TITAN Aréna
Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia
Formerly: Zimný štadión Liptovský Mikuláš
The TITAN Arena in Liptovský Mikuláš is a building that has changed its purpose several times over. It began life as an open-air rink in 1932. The structure was fully enclosed in 1967, turning it from a seasonal patch of ice into a permanent sports facility.
It is not a place for football; the local football club, MFK Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš, plays at its own municipal stadium.
This arena belongs to the ice hockey community. It is the home of MHK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš, a team that competes in the Slovak Extraliga. The club has played here since the facility was renamed in 2014, after the management company JL aréna took over operations. Before that, it was known as Zimný štadión Liptovský Mikuláš. The arena has seen two major refurbishments.
It is a modest venue, but it serves the town consistently.
