Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hides a second pitch under the first one. The natural grass, grown on movable trays, rolls out for football and then retreats to reveal an artificial NFL-standard surface underneath — a swap the ground staff can complete in around four hours, and no neighbouring Premier League venue is built to do that.

The site itself is the old White Hart Lane, cleared to make way for the new build. Naming rights were meant to be sold once the stadium opened, and never were, so the official name has stood unchanged since 2019 while supporters keep calling the place "New White Hart Lane" out of habit rather than any club decision.

Its record crowd had nothing to do with football: 66,267 packed in for the Anthony Joshua–Oleksandr Usyk fight, well past the mark set by a Tottenham–Arsenal derby. NFL fixtures return each autumn as part of the London Games, and the same turf has carried Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Guns N' Roses and Travis Scott through, alongside European Rugby Champions Cup finals.
