Trainingsgelände Grünwalder Straße Platz 5

Platz 5 is the training-ground descendant of that arrangement, tucked into the same site as the old Heinrich-Zisch-Stadion but running as its own patch of natural turf, floodlit and set apart from the smaller pitches nearby, including a synthetic one that holds barely a fifth of its crowd.

There is no first team here. Platz 5 belongs to 1860's youth and reserve sides — the U19s, the U17s, and the second team in their Bayernliga and Regionalliga years — who use it for both league fixtures and daily training.

What the site does not offer says as much as what it does. There is no record of the senior men's or women's teams using Platz 5 for competitive football. Changing rooms and gym facilities go unlisted s that cover the ground, though the wider complex is known to include offices and parking set aside for club officials.
