Ümraniye Belediyesi Sehir Stadi
Istanbul, Turkey
Formerly: Ümraniye Hekimbaşı Şehir Stadyumu
Ümraniyespor play here.
The seats in the main stand are a uniform red, a colour that matches the branding visible on the perimeter hoardings.
It is a place that has seen its share of movement. In 2023, it temporarily hosted Pendikspor while their own ground underwent renovation, bringing a different rhythm to the usual Saturday fixtures. The pitch is natural grass, maintained to a bright green that contrasts with the grey sky often seen over Istanbul. The view from the stands looks out onto the neighbouring apartment blocks, a reminder that this is a community ground first and a sporting venue second.
The stadium has undergone changes in identity as well as usage. It was originally known as Ümraniye Hekimbaşı Şehir Stadyumu before receiving naming rights from Spoint İnşaat in September 2024. The capacity is small, just over 3,500, which keeps the atmosphere intimate. There is no record of any major finals or international matches taking place within these walls. It is not a destination for tourists but a fixture for those who live nearby. The players walk out onto the grass under the metal roof, and the match begins in the space between the stands.
