Utilita Bowl

Utilita Bowl Designed by Sir Michael Hopkins, the ground opened in 2001 with a strict capacity of 6,500. Between 2008 and 2011, the expansion raised the permanent limit to 15,000 and added the Colin Ingleby-MacKenzie and Shane Warne stands. The work was completed in time for the first Test match, played against Sri Lanka in June 2011.

The venue has outgrown its original name. It began as the Rose Bowl and became the Ageas Bowl before adopting the Utilita Bowl title in January 2024. It serves as the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club, but it also hosts matches for Southern Brave in The Hundred since 2021. A four-star Hilton was constructed overlooking the ground during the redevelopment and opened in 2015. Solar panels have been installed across the roof to reduce carbon emissions.

The ground is small for a Test venue, yet it hosted the inaugural ICC World Test Championship Final in June 2021. New Zealand won the match against India in front of a crowd that exceeded 22,000. The pitch remains natural grass.
