VDU Prezidento V. Adamkaus SC stadionas sits in the Akademija district. The ground dates back to 1964, opened alongside the buildings of the Lithuanian University of Agriculture, which later became part of Vytautas Magnus University.
Things came to a head with a reconstruction that changed its face. The decision was made to install an artificial turf surface, funded by the Lithuanian Football Federation. On November 17, 2021, the venue was officially reopened and renamed in honor of former President Valdas Adamkus.
It serves as the home for FK Kauno Žalgiris B and has hosted the main team in recent years, though they have since returned to the larger Darius and Girėnas Stadium. The site is not just for football. In September 2023, it gained a new identity when the first baseball field in Kaunas meeting European standards opened there.
