Vejlby Stadion

The ground in Vejlby, part of a municipal sports centre in the northern suburbs of Aarhus, spent most of its life as a neighbourhood pitch: room for around 4,000 people, of whom only a hundred or two had a seat. Its record crowd belongs to a single afternoon in September 1978, when IK Skovbakken hosted AGF in the 1st Division and 11,763 packed in to watch AGF win 4–2. That number still sits above what the ground holds today.

The reason it holds anything like that much is recent. When AGF's home was demolished to make way for Skovens Arena, the club needed a Superliga-standard venue in the meantime, and Vejlby was the one available. Over the early months of 2025 the old main stand came down, mobile stands went up, and a hybrid pitch was laid. The first temporary stands drew complaints, and a new main grandstand followed that summer, bringing the total to roughly 11,500 with about 3,400 seated. Renting and adapting the ground cost AGF more than DKK 50 million. A sponsorship deal signed in February 2025 attached the Ceres name to it, as Ceres Park Vejlby.

The tenants make their own loop back through the place. Skovbakken and Vejlby IK both played here from 1969 onwards and merged in 2016 to form VSK Aarhus, who remain. AGF's women's side also uses the facility. The new pitch was rated the third-best surface in the Superliga for the 2024/25 season by the Danish Players' Union.
