Vibrant Doors Arena

Mickleover, United Kingdom

Formerly: Mickleover Sports Ground, Don Amott Arena

The Vibrant Doors Arena sits in Mickleover, a suburb of Derby. The white modular roof is the first thing to catch the eye from Station Road, a simple dome that covers the seating without trying to conquer the skyline. The building opened in 1993, a date confirmed by the club itself.

The surface is 4G artificial turf, a change made in 2021 that replaced the natural grass. LED floodlights were installed at the same time as part of a £750,000 renovation. The club plays its qualifying rounds for the FA Trophy here, as well as matches for Derby County Women. Mickleover FC reached the Third Round of the FA Trophy in the 2023–24 season, and the win in the Northern Counties East League Cup in 2006–07 remains a solid memory for supporters.

The venue is small, holding 1,500 spectators with 280 seated. Instead, it hosts community events like 'Fireworks Night', which brings in over 3,000 people. The ground has been known by three names: the Mickleover Sports Ground, the Don Amott Arena after the former chairman, and now the Vibrant Doors Arena following a three-year sponsorship deal with a local door supplier.
