Stadium
Víctor Legrotaglie
The club, Club Atlético Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza, has occupied the site since 1934, and the ground has never been given a commercial name.
The distinction between the two stands is immediate.
Lighting was installed here in 1943, making it the first stadium in the province to feature a system for night matches.
The venue has hosted matches in the Copa Argentina, including a tie against All Boys in 2023, and served as a temporary home for Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba while their own stadium was renovated. The history of the ground is recorded in the name on the roof: Víctor Legrotaglie, a player for the club between 1953 and 1974, after whom the stadium was renamed in 1975.
