Víkingsvollur

The ground is not the first thing you notice in the city. It sits on Traðarland 1. Knattspyrnufélagið Víkingur built the site themselves, and while the club now calls it home.

The surface is artificial grass, a change made in 2019.

It does not host the national team, and it does not need to. The club has taken it through UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying rounds, playing against The New Saints and Lech Poznań in the summer heat. You can find the official website at www.vikingur.is, but the name that sticks is the old one, Víkin.
