Visana Stadion (Stockhorn Arena)
Three names in under fifteen years. It opened as Arena Thun in July 2011, was renamed Stockhorn Arena in 2014 after the mountain visible from the stands, and became Visana Stadion in 2026 once the insurer took over the naming rights.
The address, Weststrasse 12, sits in Thun itself, in canton Bern — not the city of Bern. The stadium replaced the old Lachen ground on the same plot, built new between 2010 and 2011 by a trio of firms: Pool Architekten of Zurich, Brügger Architekten from Thun, and Itten+Brechbühl, working out of St. Gallen and Bern.
Capacity stands at 10,398 — 8,426 seats and 1,972 standing places. For concerts, the pitch itself is opened to standing spectators. A switch to natural grass is planned ahead of the 2025 UEFA Women's Euro.
