Volda stadion
Volda, Norway
The pitch is artificial turf. The main arena was converted from natural grass in 2007. Before that, the pitch was natural, but the conditions were unforgiving. The old athletics track was removed at the same time, leaving the focus entirely on the game itself. The stands, updated in 2010 with plastic seats bought used from Sandefjord, are simple and functional.
The capacity is modest, listed at approximately 2,000, though some sources suggest it can stretch to 3,000. The historical peak was around 3,500, set in 1987 during a match against Ørsta IL. The stadium has not had any official name changes or sponsorship deals. It is simply Volda Stadion, a place where the club Volda TI Fotball has played its home games for decades.
The artificial turf ensures that the game can be played even when the snow is deep and the sun is low.
