Wham Stadium
The name on the front of the ground has changed four times. Crown Ground was borrowed from the pub next door. After that came Fraser Eagle, then Interlink Express, and since 2015 the Wham Stadium , under a £200,000 deal with What More UK. The address has stayed put throughout: Livingstone Road, on the hill above Accrington.
In September 2021 the pitch was relaid with Grassmax, a hybrid surface — the same system used at the Parc des Princes in Paris. The work ran round the clock to get it down. Some databases still list the pitch as ordinary turf.
In 2019 the Whinney Hill Terrace came down and the Eric Whalley Stand went up in its place, holding 1,100. That did not move the overall figure: the ground takes 5,450, of whom 3,100 sit.
Accrington Stanley have played here since the ground opened.
