Yeni 4 Eylül Stadyumu
When Sivas decided on a new stadium it left the old 4 Eylül where it was, in the centre, open since 1985, and went instead to the south-western edge of the city — a site of more than 130,000 square metres out by the Erzincan road. Work there began on 25 May 2013.
Building finished in August 2016 and the place opened on 14 August, Sivasspor beating Tokatspor 3-1. The capacity given at the opening was 27,532. Since then the line has barely moved: the figure carried now is 27,817. The design allowed for six more rows and a ceiling of 38,000, but those rows have not gone in.
The pitch is natural grass with a heating system beneath it.
The name has changed more often than the building has. From the opening until 2021 it was the 4 Eylül, or Yeni 4 Eylül. In July 2021 the club signed a one-year deal that made it the Bahçeşehir Koleji Sivas 4 Eylül Stadyumu for the 2021/22 season. From 2023/24 a contract with BG Grup put the current name on it — BG Grup 4 Eylül Stadyumu — and that is what it has been called since.
