Yockings Park

Whitchurch Alport formed in 1946, in the first football season after the war, and named itself for Alport Farm, once worked by a local player, Coley Maddocks, who did not come home from the war. The first changing rooms were nothing more than wooden crates, hauled over from the army camp at Prees Heath and put together by the players themselves. Before that, the side had shared a field at Alkington Gate. The ground on Black Park Road was bought outright for the club by Robert George Ashley, a hotel and garage owner from Prees Heath, from the landowner Walter George Jones.

The rebuilding since has come in stages rather than one grand plan. A brick wall bearing the club crest went up in the clubhouse in the mid-1980s, and between 2013 and 2015 the ground was upgraded to meet North West Counties League entry standards, a bid the league only approved on appeal.
