Yurtec Stadium

The pitch at Nanakita took a beating in March 2011, when the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami hit Miyagi Prefecture and left the ground damaged. By April the gates opened again for a match.

The city built it and the city still runs it, at a cost of around 8.1 billion yen. From its opening in June 1997 it was simply Sendai Stadium, until February 2006, when Sendai sold the naming rights to Yurtec Corporation for 70 million yen a year. For international fixtures the sponsor's name comes off and the old one goes back up, so the same terraces have hosted Vegalta Sendai under one title and Japan against Samoa in 2007 under another.

Before that, the ground had a summer as a base rather than a venue: Italy trained here during the 2002 FIFA World Cup without a single tournament match being played on it.

The park it sits in has its own traffic. In 2024 the grounds around the stadium filled up for Pokémon GO Fest.
