Zengcheng Stadium

The ground carries the name of the company that paid for it: Guangzhou Kangwei Sporting Goods put up the money and built it in the Zengcheng District, and for years the venue was known as Zengcheng Kangwei Stadium. That origin explains a good deal about a 12,000-seat ground sitting some three kilometres east of Zengcheng Square, out past the end of the metro line at Zhonggang.

Its place in the record books came on 22 September 2002, when Xiangxue Pharmaceutical met Double Flower here in the first Hong Kong First Division League match ever played on the mainland.

Eight years later the ground took in a tenant with nowhere else to go. Guangzhou Evergrande spent the 2010 China League One season here while their usual homes in the city were rebuilt for the Asian Games. It turned into a title: the club won the division and went up to the Chinese Super League. Their first home match of that campaign, on 3 April 2010, finished 3–1 against Beijing Institute of Technology, with Gao Lin scoring twice. Guangzhou R&F used the ground for matches in 2016.

The pitch is natural grass. Guangzhou Dandelion play their China League Two home fixtures here, against the likes of Shenzhen, Wuhan Three Towns II and Shangyu Pterosaur.
