The facility was originally constructed as an open-air rink in 1977, but the addition of a roof in 2003 transformed it into the covered arena seen today. The capacity remains modest at 1,200 standing places.
The primary tenant, HC Bobři Valašské Meziříčí, has called this venue home since its inception. The team is currently preparing for the 2025/2026 season, during which further modernization is underway to upgrade the cooling technology.
