Zions Bank Stadium
Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman sits at the centre of what Real Salt Lake built as a full academy campus rather than a stand-alone ground, and a training building on the site was expanded in 2023, years after the stadium itself was finished.
The opening, on 20 April 2018, followed a build that had started in August 2016 and run to roughly $78 million once the academy facilities were counted in alongside the stadium. Ownership passed from Real Salt Lake to Miller Sports + Entertainment, under Gail Miller, later on. The artificial turf itself came from a Dutch firm with a client list of leading European clubs.
Real Monarchs SLC play their home matches here, and the stadium has taken on tenants beyond football: Utah Warriors in rugby, Utah Archers in lacrosse, and Salt Lake Shred in ultimate frisbee all call it home. The first events told two different stories about the place — a rugby fixture drew 3,143 spectators, while the first football match, Real Monarchs against Las Vegas Lights FC on 30 April 2018, brought in 4,065. The ground has since hosted NWSL Challenge Cup matches in 2020 and Premier Lacrosse League fixtures the same year, and it doubles as a venue for concerts and community festivals, including the Utah French Market and the New West Coast Fest.
