Caniggia Ginola Elva

Caniggia Elva's path to Cavalry FC ran through more than a decade of German football. He joined Calgary South West United as a youth player before moving to VfB Stuttgart II in 2014, where he signed his first professional contract and made 57 appearances. A loan to RC Strasbourg in 2015 came to nothing: work permit issues meant he never took the pitch for the French club.

At Würzburger Kickers he won the Bavarian Cup in 2019, and at FC Ingolstadt 04 he had his longest spell, making 67 league appearances in 3. Liga and 2. Bundesliga. A move to Rot-Weiß Erfurt followed in 2023, where he scored six goals in the Regionalliga Nordost before signing for Cavalry FC in February 2025 on a free transfer. He scored his first goal for the club against Atlético Ottawa that April.

Internationally, his path split in an unusual way. He came through Canada's under-23 setup, scoring against Uzbekistan, and was called up to the senior Canadian squad in 2017 without ever switching his allegiance. Instead, he made his senior debut for Saint Lucia in October 2023 against Guadeloupe, scoring on his first appearance. He has since scored in CONCACAF Nations League qualifying against Haiti and Barbados, and struck twice in a match against Saint Martin.
