About the player
Faith Nguyen came into professional football with a college résumé that few goalkeepers her age can match. At UCLA she was part of the team that won the NCAA national championship in 2022, and she took the Pac-12 conference title twice with the Bruins during her time there.
She continued adding to that list after transferring to Texas Tech for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where she was named to the Big 12's first team and received All-American recognition from Collegiate Sports Communicators. Angel City signed her off the back of that college success, and the club has been explicit about what drew them to her: the NCAA title and the conference championships she collected before turning professional.
Nguyen joined Angel City on a short deal in January 2026, and the club moved quickly to extend her contract through the end of the year. She has not yet collected individual honours as a professional, with her honours list so far built entirely on the college game.
