Lautaro Miljan

Lautaro Millán came up through the youth ranks close to home, starting out at Vista Alegre and La Armonía in Bahía Blanca before a year at Olimpo. Independiente signed him into their academy in 2020, when he was fifteen, and he worked his way through the club's youth sides, winning the Copa de la Liga Juvenil with the reserve team in 2023.

He signed his first professional contract in February 2024 and made his senior debut that May, coming on in a 1-1 draw with Vélez Sarsfield in the Primera División. The following year the club moved to secure him, extending his contract to the end of 2027, and by 2026 the attacking midfielder had become a regular starter for Independiente's first team.

His international path took an unusual turn. Millán first played for Argentina at Under-20 level in 2024, scoring against Uzbekistan in eight appearances, but in 2025 he switched his allegiance to Chile. He has since represented Chile at both Under-20 level, scoring once in four appearances, and with the senior national team, where he had earned three caps as of March 2026 without yet finding the net.

At club level he still plays with a right foot and wears the number 14 for Independiente. His only honour with the first team remains that 2023 Copa de la Liga Juvenil triumph with the reserves, but his contract renewal and continued starting role point to a club counting on him for the years ahead.
