Maiky Jordan de la Cruz Borja

Maiky de la Cruz came through the youth ranks at L.D.U. Quito. He got his first taste of senior football on loan at Atlético Kin in the Tercera División, and by 2021 he had made a single Serie A appearance for L.D.U. Quito. The following year, he moved to France to join Stade de Reims, with reports pointing to talks worth around a million dollars for his economic rights.

Instead, de la Cruz spent the following seasons out on loan, first at Union Titus Pétange in Luxembourg, then at Marignane Gignac F.C. in Championnat National 2, where he made ten appearances. His contract with Reims ran until 2026, but he left as a free agent in January of that year to sign for Leones FC in Ecuador, taking the number 16 shirt.

At youth international level, the left-back has represented Ecuador's under-20 side, winning four caps since his debut in May 2023 and featuring at that year's FIFA U-20 World Cup. He has not yet been called up to the senior national team.
