About the player
Santiago Jiménez Mejía came through the youth ranks at Envigado, making his professional debut there in 2016 and staying with the club for the best part of six years. He then had a short spell at Once Caldas, arriving on a free transfer in January 2023 and making ten league appearances before his release six months later.
His move to Atlético Bucaramanga in July 2023 proved the turning point. Jiménez was part of the squad that won the Torneo Apertura 2024, Bucaramanga's first-ever Categoría Primera A title. He left the club in June 2025 and, a few weeks later, signed for Deportivo Pasto, appearing in league and cup football across the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
At international level, Jiménez represented Colombia at Under-17 level, though he has not featured for the senior national side.
