About the player
Mehdi Baaloudj came up through Marseille's academy, joining the club's reserve side in 2018.
He spent a brief stint at Sainte-Geneviève before signing for En Avant Guingamp in 2021. There he split time between the reserves, where he scored freely with 15 goals in 32 games, and the first team, where he made nine appearances and no goals. A loan to Martigues in early 2023 gave him regular football again, and he responded with three goals in 15 appearances.
The move to FC Versailles in August 2023 was the turning point. Baaloudj scored eight goals in 27 appearances in the 2023–2024 season, form that persuaded Clermont Foot 63 to sign him permanently in September 2024. He made 25 matches and two goals across the 2024–2025 campaign.
Rodez signed him on 3 September 2026, and he made 18 appearances for the club, scoring once. His contract was mutually terminated on 3 September 2026, leaving him a free agent.
Internationally, Baaloudj has represented Algeria at Under-20 level. He has not won any major individual or team honours in his career to date.
