About the player
Mikhail Shtepa's story so far is one of patience without a payoff at the club that raised him. He came through the Krasnodar academy, working his way from Krasnodar-3 through Krasnodar II in the First League, and was registered with the senior Krasnodar squad from 2022 to 2024. Yet he never made a competitive league appearance for the first team.
The breakthrough came away from Krasnodar. On loan at FK Chayka in the 2024/2025 season, Shtepa played 28 First League matches and kept seven clean sheets while conceding well under a goal a game on average. A permanent move to Chernomorets Novorossiysk followed in the summer of 2025, where he continued as a first-choice goalkeeper across the 2025/2026 season, again reaching seven clean sheets.
Shtepa joined SKA-Khabarovsk on a free transfer, agreeing a contract that runs to mid-2028. He made his competitive debut for the club in a First League fixture against Torpedo Moscow, playing the full match. Across his career to date he has made 76 appearances in all competitions, with 17 clean sheets.
