Valentino Simoni

Valentino Simoni's path to professional football ran through the pensión at Boca Juniors, where he arrived in the club's novena división in 2018 and worked his way up through the reserve ranks. In 2023 he was part of the Boca Sub-20 squad that beat AZ Alkmaar to win the Copa Intercontinental Sub-20 at La Bombonera, coming on as a substitute in the final. Boca rewarded him with his first professional contract in 2024, running to December 2028.

His clearest case for a first-team chance came in 2025, when he finished as top scorer of the Torneo Proyección for Boca's reserve side, with eight goals in eleven matches. He was also on target in the Clausura final, a 2-2 draw against Gimnasia that Boca won on penalties to take the title.

On 14 January 2026, Simoni moved to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza on loan for the season — the same club he had faced in that reserve final months earlier. He made his professional debut on 23 January 2026 in a Primera División fixture against Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, which Gimnasia won 1-0, and he scored in that very match, opening his senior account on his first appearance.

Simoni is a right-footed forward and has not yet featured for any Argentina youth or senior national team.
