Williams Barlasina

Williams Barlasina graduated through Newell's Old Boys' youth ranks and joined the first-team squad in 2020, though a competitive debut did not follow straight away. That arrived only after a loan move to Agropecuario in the Primera Nacional, where he stepped in against Deportivo Madryn in February 2022 and went on to make 36 appearances for the club.

He returned to Newell's in early 2023 and featured in the Copa Argentina and Copa Sudamericana, though regular league minutes at Newell's remained scarce. Another loan followed in 2024, this time to Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, where he was a fixture between the posts, starting 24 matches in the Primera Nacional. A third loan, to Aldosivi in February 2025, brought a run of Liga Profesional appearances against Estudiantes, Sarmiento, Tigre and Boca Juniors, before he returned to Newell's at the end of June 2025.

His time in Rosario ended for good in July 2026, when he moved permanently to Colombian side Fortaleza CEIF, with Newell's keeping a slice of any future transfer fee. The switch has given Barlasina the settled role that eluded him at Newell's: he has established himself as Fortaleza's starting goalkeeper, keeping two clean sheets in seven appearances in the 2026 season.

Barlasina has not featured for any Argentina youth or senior side, and his career so far has been built on loan spells rather than a fixed run in one first team.
