Poland U17 Women

Poland's under-17 side had never been past a group stage at a UEFA finals before 2013. In the final, Ewelina Kamczyk scored the only goal against Sweden, and Poland lifted the European Under-17 Championship. Kamczyk went on to Milan; her teammate that year, Ewa Pajor, later captained the senior national team at Barcelona, and Paulina Dudek moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

The team plays under the name Orliczki, a diminutive of the men's "Orły," and the qualifying campaign for the first UEFA Under-17 finals dates back to October 2007. The age group returned to the podium, finishing third at the 2024 European Championship, and that squad carried Poland to its first FIFA Under-17 World Cup, in the Dominican Republic. There, Poland beat Brazil 2-0 in the group stage before Spain ended the run in the last sixteen. Magda Piekarska, Krystyna Flis and Julia Woźniak, who have since moved to Roma, Basel and Sporting respectively, came through that generation. Sweden, the beaten finalists from 2013, remain the fixture Polish sides measure themselves against, along with Germany.

Qualification for the 2026 World Cup in Morocco is already set. The Polish Football Association now points its women's teams toward Gdańsk, where the Polsat Plus Arena became the senior side's designated home in August 2024; the under-17s train and play locally around the city.
