Centro Sportivo La Borghesiana

Rome, Italy

The ground sits in the Torre Angela district. It was built in 1990 when the city looked ahead to the World Cup, intended as a place for national teams to prepare. West Germany trained here before their final victory, and the Italian side returned for camps years later. The complex holds four pitches, three with natural grass and one artificial, alongside smaller fields for younger players. The only spectator area is a covered stand with 150 seats, part of a total capacity that is often cited as 300 , though other figures suggest more.

ASD Lodigiani Calcio plays their senior matches here, while SS Lazio Primavera uses the site for their Under-20 league games when their usual base is occupied. The women’s team also once played here. In September 2020, theft in the locker rooms disrupted the local side’s preparations. The club’s president, Claudio Lotito, looked at buying the site in 2021 but did not secure it then. The facility remains a training hub first, a match venue second. It is not a temple of football; it is a workplace for football.
