Ciudad Deportiva Los Angeles de San Rafael

The ground sits in the high air of the Ciudad Deportiva Los Ángeles de San Rafael , far from the noise of Madrid. It opened for Atlético de Madrid in 1983 and the squad has returned to the Sierra de Guadarrama ever since. The complex holds multiple pitches with different surfaces, but it is not a stadium for the public. There are no permanent stands or seats for spectators to buy a ticket for a match day.

The first team has spent summers here for more than four decades, preparing for another campaign while the city sleeps.
