Dambatta Stadium
Dambatta, Nigeria
Dambatta Stadium is a football venue in the town of Dambatta, Kano State, Nigeria. It serves as the home ground for Barau F.C., a club founded in June 2024. The stadium was constructed by Senator Barau I. Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, as part of his constituency development projects. The facility was completed and officially adopted as the club's home ground in November 2024, just in time for Barau F.C.'s debut in the Nigeria National League (NNL) for the 2024–25 season.
In July 2025, following Barau F.C.'s promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the stadium underwent extensive renovations to meet top-flight standards. These upgrades included improvements to the pitch quality, dressing rooms, media gallery, medical rooms, and spectator facilities. Due to these ongoing renovations, the club temporarily relocated their home matches for the 2025/2026 NPFL season to the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. The playing surface is natural grass. The specific seating capacity of the stadium has not been found in available sources. There is no record of the stadium being renamed; 'Maliya Stadium' and 'Dambatta Stadium' refer to the same venue, with 'Maliya' likely being a specific designation or sponsor name used interchangeably in local reports.
