Dellwood Avenue

The Martello Ground sits on Dellwood Avenue in Felixstowe. The club has cycled through sponsor names — AGL Arena, then Goldstar Ground — but the streetside pavilion carries a different weight than a series of logos. The wooden double doors at the centre of the façade have not moved since the old Town Ground days, and the stone steps leading up to them are worn by a generation of players and supporters.

Recent work has changed the interior more than the exterior. The clubhouse complex that opened in July 2017 replaced the cramped facilities the players once shared with the tea urn. It brought six changing rooms, a function room and a proper bar beneath the same brick walls. A digital scoreboard arrived for the 2022/23 season, and an outdoor bar followed in October 2023, giving supporters somewhere to stand when the ground was full.

The surface is natural grass, kept in fair order through the Suffolk winter. The capacity sits at 2,160, though a friendly against Ipswich Town on July 1, 2023 drew 2,350 — four times the usual crowd, and enough to spill into the streets behind the end. Ipswich won 6–0, and the match remains the only occasion the ground has seen numbers of that size.

Felixstowe and Walton United have spent years clawing their way back through the non-league pyramid. They reached the Second Round Proper of the FA Trophy in successive seasons, and in 2024–25 they lifted the Suffolk Premier Cup for the first time. They already knew the feeling of the Third Qualifying Round in the FA Cup back in 2016–17, and they have kept knocking on the door since. This is the only ground in town, and the bookmakers are pricing a low-scoring game when they play here.
