Erzincan 13 Şubat Şehir Stadyumu carries a name that points back to 1918, when the city was liberated from Russian occupation. The current structure is not the original; the old 13 Şubat Stadı (also known as Erzincan Stadı) was pulled down in the summer of 2018. Work on the replacement began in the fall of that same year, and the ground finally opened on August 28, 2022, after four years of building.
