Estádio das Mangueiras

The pitch at Estádio das Mangueiras sits surrounded by dense green trees, and the sky over the Lunda Sul province often looks as if it might break. In the centre of the action, the artificial surface proved problematic, its poor drainage leading to waterlogging during heavy rain. This condition forced the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) to interdict the stadium in May 2025 because the safety of players was compromised.

Although the original construction date is not established, the ground has been a fixture in Saurimo since its reopening in August 2012. It serves as the home for Desportivo da Lunda-Sul. The stadium holds up to 7,000 people.

When the FAF announced plans for rehabilitation in late 2025, the intention was to replace the failed turf with a modern standard surface.
