Gradski stadion Jadranovo

The Gradski stadion Jadranovo is the home of NK Jadran Luka Ploče.

The capacity is listed as one thousand. Temporary stands were erected for the Croatian Football Cup match against HNK Hajduk Split in late October 2023. That day, the small venue held two thousand spectators, a rare occasion where the local team held its own for ninety minutes before the visitors secured a 2–0 victory. For a club that has kept knocking on the door of the top flight for decades, such a match remains the highlight.

The pitch is natural grass, cut short and ready for the season. There are no floodlights for the main field, meaning the evening sun sets early for winter fixtures, and the stands offer little shelter from the wind that sweeps down from the Adriatic coast. The club does have a separate training pitch with artificial turf and lights, but the main stage remains simple.

The atmosphere changes when the team picks up results. The academy graduates often play in these matches, marking their first starts with a goal when the opportunity arises. On the days when the team holds on grimly in a tight game, the stands fill up with locals who know every player by name. It is a place that does not demand attention, but on the right day, it can spring a surprise.
