Prince Hathloul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium

The Prince Hathloul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium sits in the Najran University Neighborhood, a complex covering 250,000 square meters that includes a swimming pool and a sports hall. It opened on August 31, 2020, ending a long planning period that began in 2008. The ground is shared by Al-Okhdood Club and Najran SC, who moved here after playing at older local venues like Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium. The surface is natural grass.

What distinguishes the venue is not its architecture but the caliber of opponents it has hosted. On September 14, 2023, it welcomed Karim Benzema for an Al-Ittihad fixture. A few months later, on May 9, 2024, Cristiano Ronaldo came to play for Al-Nassr. The attendance for the Ronaldo match was not the highest ever recorded here; that honour belongs to a Saudi Pro League meeting between Al-Okhdood and Al-Hilal on August 24, 2024, which drew 5,099 spectators. The stadium’s capacity is listed as 10,000 or 12,000 depending on the source.

The facility cost SAR 124 million to build, developed by ACES under the supervision of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare. It has not hosted major international finals or large-scale concerts, remaining a domestic football ground. The first official matches took place in November 2020, featuring a 2–1 victory for Najran S.FC over Al-Thoqbah and Al-Okhdood’s inaugural game against Al-Qaisumah. Since then, it has become a regular stop for visiting giants.
