Hungarian Cup Women (Hungary) 2025/26

The Hungarian Women's Handball Cup stands as the premier domestic knockout tournament for clubs in Hungary. Organized by the Hungarian Handball Federation, the competition has operated since 1951. Unlike a league structure that runs for a full season, this event decides its winner through elimination matches.

Participation extends to clubs from the top tier and the second division. Higher-ranked teams often enter the contest later, skipping the earliest preliminary rounds. The schedule moves through several stages of single-leg games before reaching the decisive phase. If a quarter-final ends in a draw, the side playing away advances.

The final stage takes place over a "Final Four" weekend at a neutral location. The format includes two semi-finals followed by a match for third place and the championship final. The winner earns a spot in the EHF Cup Winners' Cup, provided they have not already qualified for the Champions League through their league performance. The trophy carries no direct link to promotion or relegation.

Club Ferencvárosi TC currently holds the record for the most wins. They secured their sixteenth title in 2025, completing a run of four consecutive victories. Győri Audi ETO KC remains the closest challenger with fifteen titles. The competition sits below the Nemzeti Bajnokság I in the national hierarchy, serving as a distinct pathway for honours. Winning both the league and this cup in one year is referred to as the "Double."
