Győr women defeated Brest Bretagne 40:26 in a club friendly match played on 7 August 2026. The Hungarian side ran out comfortable winners at home, controlling much of the contest from start to finish. By then the result was never really in doubt, though the French visitors did not simply lie down.
And here's the thing about friendlies — they rarely tell you everything you need to know, but they do show you shape. Győr's attack moved fluidly, finding space where Brest's defence was slow to close. The visitors struggled to match the tempo, particularly in transition.
