Midtjylland beat Køge 30:27 in the First Division on Saturday, 26 September 2026. The hosts took all three points at home, extending their unbeaten run to four matches across all competitions. Køge remain winless in their last outing and now sit further adrift in the table.
Midtjylland move up to third place on six points from four games, with three wins and one draw. They have not lost yet this season. Køge stay in tenth on four points from four matches, two wins and two draws, also without a defeat but unable to close the gap.
Midtjylland's recent form has been mixed. They lost 32:39 to Odder last weekend and dropped a 26:35 result against Tonder in March, but they have won three of their last four league matches. Køge lost 20:29 to HOY on Friday but had previously beaten AGF 33:29 and Støholm 33:28. By then, both sides were showing signs of inconsistency.
The result tightens the middle of the table for Midtjylland, who now have two points clear of the teams below them. For Køge, the defeat leaves them four points behind Midtjylland and still searching for momentum. They are running out of games if they want to climb.
Midtjylland's unbeaten start continues, while Køge's winless streak in their last two fixtures extends. The gap between them remains steady at two points, though the quality of those points will matter as the season progresses.
