Ryger Stavanger — Bodø: 22:32, 1. Division

Bodo secured a convincing 32-22 victory over Rigger Stavanger in the 1st Division on Sunday. The result leaves the visitors eight points clear of the hosts in the table. By then the pattern was clear enough — Rigger Stavanger had not won all season and this was not going to change.

Rigger Stavanger sit twelfth with five games played and two points. One win, four draws, no losses — but the draws do not add up when the goals go against you. Three of those five matches have been defeats in a row, including this one.

Bodo meanwhile remain eighth after five outings. Three wins and two draws keep them unbeaten, though the gap at the top is still nothing to write home about. They scored ten more goals than their opponents here, which tells you all you need to know.

The visitors arrived in Stavanger with momentum. A win against Asane and another against Carlottnlund had suggested they were finding their rhythm. This was a step further — they let the game flow and Rigger Stavanger could not find a way back into it.

Rigger Stavanger's recent record reads like a catalogue of narrow defeats. Twenty-three against Melhus, twenty-six against Nordstrand, thirty against Haslum. The scores were closer then. This time the margin opened to ten goals and there was no recovery.
