About the player
Cristhian Julio Solano Barro came through the youth academy of Orense SC before making his professional debut for the club in 2022. He became a regular starter during the 2023 season, when he played 30 league matches and scored seven goals for Orense, and was named Man of the Match after a 1-0 win over Mushuc Runa that November.
He also won the Ecuadorian Serie B title with Barcelona SC that year. Playing time proved harder to come by at his new club: Solano made nine league appearances in 2024 and fifteen in 2025, scoring once in each campaign, while also featuring in the Copa Libertadores.
In February 2026 he moved on loan to Leones del Norte in search of regular football. By September 2026 he had scored four goals in six matches for his new side.
