David Antonio Ochoa Posas

David Antonio Ochoa Posas , known throughout his career as David Ruiz, spent seven years in the Miami United Stars youth setup before Inter Miami brought him into its academy in 2021. A first taste of senior football with Inter Miami's second team saw him make 19 appearances across USL League One and MLS Next Pro, and then a promotion to the first team squad in March 2023.

His MLS debut came as a substitute against Chicago Fire, and two months later he had his breakthrough moment: a goal and an assist in the same match against New England Revolution. Inter Miami rewarded the progress with a homegrown contract that April, tying him to the club with club options stretching out to 2027. He settled into a squad role, making 61 league appearances and scoring three goals, wearing the number 41 shirt.

He made his senior debut for the Honduran national team that September against Grenada and has since gone on to earn caps in CONCACAF Nations League and World Cup Qualifying matches, scoring three international goals.

With starting opportunities limited during the 2026 season, Ruiz was loaned to New York Red Bulls in September, seeking the regular football that had eluded him at Inter Miami.
