About the player
Fedde de Jong grew up playing for FC Uitgeest before moving into the AZ Alkmaar academy. He spent two seasons with Jong AZ, making 78 appearances and scoring 8 goals, form that earned him a place in the AZ first team for the 2022–2023 season. He marked his debut in the UEFA Europa Conference League in July 2022 with a goal. That season he was also part of the AZ Alkmaar side that won the UEFA Youth League, starting in the final against Hajduk Split and setting up a goal.
De Jong left AZ for SC Cambuur on a free transfer in June 2023. Over two seasons in Leeuwarden he made 67 appearances in all competitions, 60 of them in the Eerste Divisie, and scored 8 goals, before his contract there was mutually terminated in September 2025. He signed for De Graafschap on 2 September 2025, also on a free transfer, on a one-year deal with an option for a second season.
He has represented the Netherlands at U15, U16, U17, U19, U20 and U21 level, scoring three goals in six caps for the U19s and making his U21 debut against Moldova in September 2023. A senior call-up has not followed yet.
