Felipe Sifuentes

Sifuentes came through CF Monterrey's Fuerzas Básicas academy and spent four years, from 2013 to 2017, registered with the first team without ever making a competitive Liga MX debut. The senior football came instead through loan spells: at Lobos BUAP, where he made his professional debut in the 2013 Copa MX, and later at Mérida FC. What he does carry from that period is a place in Mexican football history rather than a club record — he was part of the Mexico squad that won the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup on home soil, picking up three caps at that level, though he never scored and never went on to add senior national team appearances.

His career since leaving Monterrey has run through the lower reaches of Mexican football. At Inter Playa del Carmen in the Liga Premier he found a regular run of games, appearing 27 times, before a move to Real Zamora in 2018 brought a further 12 appearances split between league and cup. Across his senior career before joining Chico, he made 42 league appearances without scoring a goal, a return that reflects a path built more on graft in the lower divisions than on the promise suggested by that youth World Cup medal.

He is left-footed and continues his career in Colombian football.
