About the player
Gallatin Sandnes is a product of the Seattle Sounders academy, having joined the club's youth setup in August 2018. He worked his way through the ranks, playing for the under-15 side between September 2022 and December 2024, a spell in which he scored twice in 27 matches, before stepping up to the reserve team, Tacoma Defiance, in January 2023 and going on to make 37 appearances there.
The defender signed his first professional contract with Tacoma Defiance in July 2026 and was called up to Seattle Sounders' first team shortly afterwards. He made his senior debut for the Sounders that year and scored his first goal for the club against CD Guadalajara in August 2026.
Sandnes has not featured for the United States at senior international level. It is also worth noting that he is not related to the Norwegian footballer Geir Sandnes, born in 1974, despite the shared surname.
