About the player
Jacob Ramsey came through Aston Villa's academy and made his first-team debut in February 2019, rising without a transfer fee attached to his name. A loan spell at Doncaster Rovers in 2020 gave him regular senior football, seven league appearances yielding three goals. The Premier League also named him Academy Graduate of the Season for 2022-23. Across his time at Villa he made 137 Premier League appearances and scored 14 goals, 167 and 17 respectively in all competitions, though the major honours never came with the club.
In August 2025, Newcastle United paid a reported fee of around £40-43 million to take him to St James' Park. Since arriving he has made 31 league appearances and scored three goals for his new club.
He was part of the England squad that won the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. A senior England call-up has yet to follow.
