About the player
Klever Caicedo — known in Ecuadorian football circles by the nickname "Ricardinho" — signed for Barcelona SC in April 2026 as a free agent, joining one of the country's most prominent Serie A sides.
His path started at Búhos ULVR, where he came through the under-19 side in 2023. He stayed with the club, formerly known as Guayaquil SC, into 2024, and one of the clearer moments from that spell was a goal he scored against Guayaquil FC. In 2025 he moved to Club Deportivo La Paz, based in Manta, Manabí, still in the Segunda Categoría, before the switch to Barcelona SC arrived this year.
Caicedo has not yet featured for Ecuador at any level, senior or youth, and has no domestic titles or individual honours to his name so far. His move to Barcelona SC represents the biggest test of his career to date.
