About the player
Luis Otávio came through Internacional's academy having joined from Juazeiro Empreendimentos, and by 2024 he was already appearing for the first team under Roger Machado in the Brazilian Série A and the Campeonato Gaúcho. The following year he was part of the Internacional squad that won the 2025 Campeonato Gaúcho, ending the club's nine-year wait for the state title.
In December 2025, Orlando City SC announced his signing from Internacional under MLS's U22 Initiative, on a contract running through the 2028 season with an option for a further year. Internacional retained 70% of his federative rights as part of the deal.
Otávio has represented Brazil at Under-20 level, called up by Ramon Menezes in November 2024 and later included in the squad for friendlies against Paraguay under Paulo Victor.
